Joomla HTTPS Redirect Plugin (Beta)

The HTTPS Redirect Plugin redirects a visitor to the same page under HTTPS.

When a user requests a url over HTTP (e.g. http://example.com/secure/stuff/ ) Joomla will handle the redirection to the appropriate HTTPS page (e.g. https://example.com/secure/stuff/ )

This plugin allows the administrator to force users into HTTPS protocol under Joomla. Actually, the full extent of the plugin could be handled in your server configuration using redirect rules, but depending on your server setup that could be confusing or impossible (like in a shared-hosting environment. )

So instead you can install this plugin to bypass all those headaches.

With this plugin you have the ability to force redirection for the front-end, back-end, or both.

How to install:
1. Download the plugin (.zip file)
2. Next install the plugin through the administrator interface.
3. Configure in the plugins page

(If you have trouble installing the plugin, please check to see if your webserver has privileges to write files to /joomla/plugins/system/
